Photos and description:

Day 1:

Frankfurt Airport

By car from the airport to the house Les Jardins du Temps in Alsace, in the Illzach town.

The place is called Les Jardins du Temps. Family of landscape designers have made beautiful flower park with small lakes, and in this park they have apartments for rent. Everything is done with taste and with love. They are also own a tourist agency, so they will provide you with any information and answer any questions with pleasure.

Day 2:

Villages Kaysersberg and Eguisheim. Houses like Christmas decorations, stork nests on the roofs, a magic atmosphere.

Butterflies Park in the Hunawihr village

Day 3:

Museum of vintage cars, one of the largest in Europe in the city of Mulhouse.

I had one like this when i was a child (the green one, not the Bugatti:)

We drove to the Black Forest in Germany to the city of Freiburg. We bought two wooden toy boats near the main square and kids played with it in small water channels all over the old city, a mandatory program for children.

Day 4:

A trip to the Vosges Mountains on the Route des Cretes road near Grand Balloon. Swimming in the lake Lac Langemer.

Day 5:

Monkey Park Montagne Des Signes.

The annual festival and parade of huge flower statues in the town of Selestat. Each year at different time, so follow their site on the Internet.

Day 6:

Lakes in the mountains of Vosges: Lac Vert – the route to the waterfall near the lake, Lac Noir – restaurant by the lake, Lac Blanc – before reaching the lake there is a small barefoot route 1.2 km (Lac Blanc’s barefoot trail), is very interesting for children. There is also a rope park on the trees, but it is for older children.

I just want to get on my bike and to make a downhill with them.

Day 7:

On the wine road there is a beautiful town – Riquewihr.

Haut Koenigsbourg castle on top of the mountains with breathtaking view of the valley.

Day 8:

Again, driving to the Black Forest in Germany at the Todtnau town there is a Hasenhorn Rodelbahn, but the queue is quite long, so come in the morning and not at weekends.

On the Feldberg Mountain near the cable car there is a wonderful trail in the forest for 1.5 hours, where the characters of fairy tales are spread in the forest (The little folk’s trail). The trail is not suitable for a stroller.
